David Hallyday, de son nom complet David Michael Benjamin Smet, est né le 14 août 1966 à Boulogne-Billancourt. Artiste complet, il est reconnu comme chanteur, auteur-compositeur, musicien et acteur. Fils de Johnny Hallyday et Sylvie Vartan, il a su tracer sa propre voie artistique tout en s’inscrivant dans un héritage musical majeur.

Il débute sa carrière à la fin des années 1980 avec l’album True Cool, porté par le succès international du titre « High ». Il poursuit ensuite une discographie riche et variée, alternant productions françaises et anglophones. En tant qu’auteur et compositeur, il signe notamment l’album Sang pour sang pour Johnny Hallyday, devenu un classique de la chanson française.

Sur le plan personnel, David Hallyday est marié à Estelle Lefébure de 1989 à 2001, union dont sont nées deux filles. Il est également père d’un fils né en 2004. Depuis 2024, il est marié à l’artiste peintre Patricia Renel (Hallyday Smet).

Aujourd’hui, David Hallyday partage avec son épouse un engagement fort dans le domaine de l’art contemporain. Ensemble, ils développent une galerie et organisent des expositions et événements culturels, mêlant musique, peinture et création artistique.
